A few things Ive been working on

Here are a couple of new things Ive been working on recently:

The Great Blue Heron is a new 'technique' Ive been trying out - Im SO flippin' excited about it!!  I finally get to 'draw' and 'paint' what I want on my pottery!!  WOOHOO  The only thing that was missing from my love of pottery was being controlled by glazes - but now Ima be out of control and do what I want!  ; )

I see her almost every day on my way back and forth out of our neighborhood.  She fishes near a wash off beside the creek that runs though a beautfiul little community in our town.  Ive seen her with fish I could hardly believe she would swallow.  Recently I noticed she had brought a little one with her.  My guess is the little guy is her offspring and shes showing him her favorite spot and how to catch fish like his mommy.

Trying my hand at plates also (I must mention these guys are more challenging than I anticipated but they are just giving me a reason to keep trying!)

And my little butter dish (or cheese dish if you prefer) with a rose on top - I think he was born to be turquoise with a red rose!

Greetings! Welcome to my blog!

So this whole 'blog' thing is new to me but I promise to try and keep my posts going so you guys will have something new to read!

A little about me - well, you see I cant stop making things... and pottery is my very favorite thing to make.  My soul desires it.

I also paint with acrylics, make wire art, crochet, paint stones, woodburn whatever stays still long enough, stain glass, and other stuffage... like I said, I cant stop making things.  I believe if I didnt have an outlet for this 'energy' I would likely explode into tiny itty bitty pieces.

In my blog, you will find lots of pottery but you also are going to find other things I enjoy like baking, recipes, gardening, frugal finds, antiques, chickens, cats, mountain trips... and much more

Ive tortured my friends on Facebook with these things for years, then it dawned on me -- I needed a blog!

Enjoy ; )  and thank you for visiting
